A seminar to honour Professor Peter Cryle

Tuesday November 8 at 2pm
CCCS seminar room
Level 4 Forgan Smith Building
As most of you will be aware, Peter Cryle has recently stepped down as the Director of the Centre for the History of European Discourses prior to his retirement.  We,in the centre, would like to commemorate Peter’s contribution to the Faculty, and his 38 years of valued service to the University of Queensland, with an informal seminar and discussion.  The speakersinclude Graeme Turner, Joe Hardwick, Juliana de Nooy, Alison Moore. They will reflect on Peter’s contribution to French Studies in Australia, his establishment of the centre and his role as Director, and his more recent research in the history of sexuality.
The seminar will be chaired by the centre’s new Director, Peter Harrison.
We look forward to seeing you there.
